McDonalds-The Next Starbucks, At a Better Price

I am a coffee drinker, but not one of those people who has to go to Starbucks and have a fancy cup of coffee everyday. I drink my old plain jane coffee at home in the privacy of my kitchen. Until the other day I just thought that all coffee tasted the same, but I was wrong!!
The other night on our way home from shopping we stopped by McDonald's to get the kids an ice cream cone. Well our McDonald's, like most, now has a coffee bar. So I thought I would try it. Well if you haven't been to one of those fancy coffee places and don't know much about the different coffees, I will tell you that ordering is quite a process!! Do you want a cappuccino, latte, mocha, what kind of flavoring do you want added, low fat or whole milk.....? And after thinking about all of that maybe you just want a fancy cup of hot chocolate with a shot of flavoring added??? I didn't know that you had to be so skilled just to order a cup of joe!!!! But I am well prepared for my next visit!!
I was lucky enough to have a nice server who explained to me what all of the different types of coffees are and what each of them has in them. So after all of that I finally decided to order a medium latte, with a shot of hazelnut, with whole milk. And it was very inexpensive, but had the most wonderful taste of any coffee I have ever had!!! Who would have thought that you could get such a tasty cup of coffee for just a couple of dollars at McDonald's??! Now I can see why people have an addiction to coffee!
All I can say is watch out Starbucks cause here comes McDonald's!!!!

The One I Love

"Keep your eyes on the Road!!"

I thought I had better add a picture of my husband so he doesn't feel left out!! This is my husband,Steve. We will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary this Valentines Day. We were married in the fabulous Las Vegas. He will also be celebrating his birthday on February 9th.
This picture was taken of him this past summer. We were in the van on our way to Florida for a family vacation. He had to take his attention off of driving for a minute to strike a pose for the camera!(We did make it to Florida safely!!!)

Growing Up

My daughter Madison, who is 6, is embarking on another major milestone in her life. She has her first loose tooth!! Kind of ironic how exciting it is when a child gets their first tooth and how equally exciting it is when they loose their first tooth!!
I think that she is one of the youngest kids in her class, so most of the kids she goes to school with have already lost teeth. She is always asking"When am I gonna loose my teeth?" She has even tried to wiggle them and make them loose on her own!!
When she came home from school today she ate 2 apples, trying to make that tooth come out and when that didn't work she tried eating taffy to make it come out!! So far no luck!
But what is even funnier is, when my 4 year old son found out she had a loose tooth that was going to fall out he went in to the bathroom to brush his teeth cause he doesn't want his teeth falling out!!!
Now I am off to be on tooth patrol!!

When a Boy becomes a Man

Not quite sure how to begin my journey into the world of blogging, so I thought I would share a funny story about my 4 year old son.
When does a boy become a man? People define this passage in many different ways. I didn't think I would have to deal with this for quite some time, considering my son is 4 going on 5, but I think he has already started making the change.
It all began one day last week when I went to put something away in the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and there sat my 4 year old on the toilet, doing his business, reading the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition!!! Then a few days later he received a Lego magazine in the mail and the first thing he did with his magazine was to put it in the "Boys Bathroom" so he could read it later when he went to do his business!!! So I would definitely say that my little boy is becoming a little man by turning our second bathroom into a library, just like daddy!!!!
